Confidentiality Guaranteed

Hypnotists are legally subject to the same HIPAA confidentiality laws that apply to counselors and doctors: we may not disclose your personal information to third parties without your approval.

The sanctity of your confidentiality is taken most seriously at Beaudry Hypnosis. Client files are not stored at the office. Sessions are not taped, though you may certainly tape them yourself for your own use. Beaudry takes session notes in her own kind of semi-legible longhand.

And in accordance with the HIPAA laws, Beaudry will never acknowledge to any third party that you are a client of hers, not publically or privately.

This means your secrets are safe at Beaudry Hypnosis.

Privacy Style During Sessions

Beaudry Hypnosis takes an extra step of confidentiality by working Privacy Style during your sessions. This means that you will never be required to disclose the details of your situation, past or present, either in or out of trance. Beaudry can do all the work without hearing your deep secrets.

On the other hand, if it would be helpful for you to disclose details, you may certainly do so.

Your privacy decisions are completely under your control before, during, and after your sessions. Beaudry understands that you are a unique individual, capable of making your own privacy decisions in the moment.

And by the way: hypnosis is not a truth serum. You may easily tell lies while in hypnosis, which is just one more reason why Beaudry chooses to work Privacy Style.

Honesty really is the best policy, and your secrets are safe at Beaudry Hypnosis, whether you speak them out loud or not.
